Guest guest
Hi Kris! Yes, it was nice to have a break. Holidays in Britain can be a let- down because of the weather (that's one reason why so many of us go to Spain, Italy, France, Grrece etc!) although we have some magnificent scenery. We were lucky and had weather that allowed just the right mix of walking, beach etc. I was very lucky to stay reasonably well and to have someone adapting meals for me. In some ways I don't like to stay in a hotel for the evening meal because it's quite exciting to find different places to eat. However, with our condition, it's such a blessing to find someone very understanding food-wise and an excellent cook at that! I was very blessed and thanked God every night for another good day! Having had another year diabetes-free was another blessing as I was able to eat appropriate desserts. I guess you have to be so careful about sweet stuff once diabetes has actually developed. Thanks again, Kris. I hope you are feeling reasonably well and are not in pain. To-day was one of my " mixed " days. I had quite a lot of pain this morning but it eased by noon and I felt quite well after that. One of the problems with this disease, for so many of us, is the unpredictability of the symptoms. If only I could find the magic ingredient to ward off the pain! As I sit here I feel as if I've never had a health problem but I know that at any moment I could find myself struggling with pain. Well, another ramble! Sorry about that! With very good wishes, Fliss
