what is pecan meal? Is it allowed on scd?

This explanation from Millican Pecan Company :

Pecan Meal are the flakes that we get as a result of chopping pecans.

Not many people know about pecan meal, but those that do love their

many uses. Use the meal in pie crusts, in batter of fried chicken,

sprinkled on fruit salads, yogurt, green salads, etc.

I think it is legal but it is not the same thing as ground pecans. If

anyone has any further information on its nutritional value etc..., I

would be interested in hearing about it.

Pecan meal is coarsely ground pecans. You can make it yourself, or purchase

it. I have bought some from Digestive Wellness in the past. It is scd

legal. To be honest, I have purchased both pecan meal and pecan flour, and

I can't tell a difference between the two. Hope this helps.

Elaine once mentioned a company that made pecan meal like that and she said it

tasted like saw dust. Real pecan meal should be made with chopped up and ground

up pecans.
