Guest guest
I have yet another wierd question, so here it goes. Has anyone else had intense itchiness where they get their pancreatic pain? My pain is ususally under my left breast (under the ribs) and goes all the way around to my back (spine). Usually I will get some itchiness near the back but tonight I have it all the way around (left side only). I guess it's just a wierd thing, I don't know. Just wanted to check if anyone has experienced this? Thanks Kris in TN

Not sure if it is due to the medicines or not because it seems if my pain is being more stubborn and longer going I have more symptoms of itchiness, but then again a person takes more meds during this time of frequent pain. Tough one, but my itchiness is definitly in pancreas region and due to pancreas pain levels. I think we have quite a few similiar symptoms. Numbness/ tingling, SOD disfunction. I am always eager to hear your posts because I can relate as far as the pancreas stuff goes. Thanks for being so open and helping a fellow member! B. Guest guest
It's me again - I'll try to keep this one short. Unexplained itching can be a sign of liver disease. Actually, the two most prominent symptoms of almost all liver diseases is overwhelming fatigue and itching. Obviously, these can be symptoms of lots of other things as well. Anyone with a chronic illness is most likely going to have times of overwhelming fatigue! So, just because you itch and are tired, don't automatically assume you have liver disease. However, it probably does warrant asking the doctor to do a blood test and check your liver enzymes. For me, I can usually tell the difference between 'liver itching' and other itching. For one thing, with 'liver itching' there is never a rash. Also, the 'liver itching' seems to be a really deep itch and scratching doesn't do much for it. I take clarinex every night for the itching. I also have atarax that I take when the clarinex doesn't keep the itching under control. Prior to going on clarinex, I had to take atarax every day, several times a day. Since starting the clarinex over a year ago, I often go weeks without needing to take the atarax. Itching is no fun at all! take care, W alabama ----- Re: question about itchiness > > > I have yet another wierd question, so here it goes.
