Guest guest
Hi Elaine, We probably have talked in the past, but I had to change my name due to an infux of Sharon's! I've been part of the group for awhile now, but have only been " squeek " for a few months. Anyway, thanks so much for your kind words. I know that I need to do better on not getting frustrated every time I flare! It is not in my nature to be sick, or to let anyone take care of me, or even help me. We just had my husbands 94 year old mother stay with us for a few days, and she is my role-model. Her mantra is " as long as I've got any wiggle left in me, I'll do for myself " .....and she does. She said that she knows as soon as she stops doing for herself it will be all over. I think I have a bit of her in me!! Glad you are doing well...working at a less stressful job and earning more money to boot. That is good! Take care! love, squeek --- Elaine wrote: > Hi and Squeek. > I'm Elaine, we haven't talked before but I was > diagnosed with chronic RP in May of 2000 after six > years of pain and trouble that was originally > diagnosed as fibromyalgia. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, I love your take on the Nike slogan....maybe we should adopt that as our official motto! Glad you know who squeek is now....it is so easy to get confused with all the names...especially as we seem to be growing constantly. Take care! Guest guest
Susicue, We only had a few inches because my daughter and I caught it and got the shop vac out and pumped about 65 gallons out then we did more. We had a sub floor so we only lost the floor. We didn't lose any personal belongings. It poured rain last night and the basement was dry this morning, but the roof leaked at my office at work. Starting to think I'm a wee bit water jinxed . You sound like you had it really rough, I feel so bad about whining. We didn't have any solid waste because it all go stuck in the perimeter drains. we will get those replaced net spring and hopefully it won't happen again. There wasn't any sign or previous flooding. If it happens again I'm filling the basement in and the garage can become the craft shop!!! Sorry to here about your flooding being so bad. Take care and I hope it never happens to you again. Guest guest
THANKS SHERRIE -- RE: GLENDA Hi Sherrie, Don't worry too much about the metho. I've been on it for a few years now, it was a bit rough at first but folic acid really helps. I lost some of my hair but it grew back and now it's curly. So things didn't turn out so bad. It really helps with the flaring and I'm actually back to work full time. Don't worry to much you'll do fine!!
