Guest guest
Thats an excellent idea Ruby. I, myself, would love to see something in my area (such as a once a year fundraiser). Nashville Tn area to be exact. I sure hope someone out there has some kind of info for this. We sure could use all the help we can get. You sound like an extremely caring person, and just one of the reasons that I love this group. I was in another group but did not get a lot of responses when someone pointed this one out to me. I did a lot of work with WSM in Nashville, and love the city. I was close to joining as music director there when my pancreatitus hit me hard and took me out of the running. I know things have changed there, but raising money for research in pancreatitus is LONG over due, and I would whole heartedly support it. In regards to this post, getting a radio station interested would be a good thing to do, but moreover getting doctors that specialize in this field would be the starting point. Where I live, I have yet to find a specialist, and I am so frustrated. With the amount of pain meds I was on, I was beginning to wonder if I was on the right course. My wife unfortunately has little compassion (which is another story) but she began to think of me as an addict. It wasn't until I discovered this group, that I was able to feel not so alone, and that the pain meds I was on, several others were on the same thing. Keep up your great work, I appreciate it, and I know others do too. In deep appreciation and respect, Bob Potter in WI
