Guest guest
, I had Blue Cross POS when I saw Dr. Lehman - it was not a problem since Blue Cross is national they already have a contract with IU and Dr. Lehman in Indiana so my Blue Cross POS also received the contracted prices as did Blue Cross people in Indiana. Even if I had to pay out of my own pocket - I would, just to see Dr. Lehman. I was surprised to see that his consultation fee for a new patient was ONLY: $250 and he talked to us for about an hour. My consult fee to my local GI was $300 and she gave me about 12 minutes and was gone. Also, if you are calling the correct numbers - you should get right through to someone the same day and be able to make an appointment right when you call. I called the ERCP Clinic direct - they do the scheduling - I have listed the numbers below - try the two numbers for the ERCP clinic - don't wait for them to call you back - try to get through to a nurse who will schedule you. Tell them to schedule you for an ERCP for the next day of your appointment also - he will just cancel it if you don't have it done. I made my appointment and then called my PCP and got a referral for a consult and the ERCP. I had an appointment right away like only a week and a half later. If you have SOD he can diagnose it.
