Guest guest
No, I think die-off symptoms and food sensitivities are two separate things... but it can be difficult to tell one from the other. You might have triggered more die-off from introducing the yogurt... and on the other hand, you're right in the time slot for a " 3-month regression " , just like what has recently gone through with Dylan. If you think any one food is possibly bothering him, you can certainly pull it out for a bit and see if things change. Keep up the probiotic, though (acidophilus only, right?). If your instincts tell you it's die-off... then ramp up the epsom salts baths and/or activated charcoal and see if that helps. Keep us informed.... Patti Die-Off or food intolerance? During die-off can you become more sensitive to foods? Or am I just a fool to think my son can actually tolerate eggs, goats yogurt? My son had a sore mouth this morning. I'm not sure what has caused this(it could be anything)...He is getting very impulsive and intoxicated. Yesterday was fun.. is this really die-off? or food intolerance? He has reacted to food in the past with very impulsive/obsessive, crazy behaviour. Or maybe this had nothing to due with the food...maybe this was just a very damaged, sick nervous system ...and anything could set it off. Even just a bit of sugar in the past .....made him out of control for days. He has been eating yogurt almost everyday for 2+ weeks(probiotic to) and eggs for 1 month. He ate eggs a start of the diet but I removed them for a while because I wasn't sure if they were tolerated. Ideas? thanks, Mom to , celiac/intolerant to much? Guest guest
It's possible that some foods can be bothering him if he is having die off symptoms. Many people go back to the intro diet for a couple of days if die off is going rough because it's just easier on the body. You might try that. If it doesn't seem to do anything, you could pull the eggs for a week or so to see if it helps. What all is he eating? Guest guest
Thanks Robin, This was just die-off and a problems with some cooked pineapple. The sore mouth really upset me . He is doing much better now. I don't think this has anything to do with the food he is eating..as he is still just eating limited cooked fruits/veges,plain meats, goats yogurt and eggs..even a green bean or too much honey is a problem... Sorry I was getting myself stressed over nothing. Just eating yogurt and eggs is a miracle for him...I'm sure I will start to really believe this miracle when he can eat cheese and/or nut butter .(And that will be a while yet). Thank Again, Cathy Mom to , > > It's possible that some foods can be bothering him if he is having die off symptoms.
