Guest guest
I am soooooo glad you got your freedom:) & are home sweet home........That is great. our ERIN was 19 & her mom & aunts still stayed. She really was feeling so much pain at the time & knew it was a long drive home, so agreed someone would stay there.I was at her home 3 hours away taking care of her siblings. My daughters ('s aunt's stayed at hotel right next to hospital & 's mom stayed at hospital.). didn't mind at all :) After all , She was being entertained & she knew she was grown up for some time .But with the early teens , they want everyone else to know they are grown up too. I can understand that.......it's really nice she wants to be self sufficient , whether she can do all , that doesn't matter. How great it is that she wants that responsibility. You have taught her well. I know your proud of her. maybe now she will get down to having fun at school & home again. LOVE & HUGS< grandmomBEV We're home!! Hi all, First of all, I need to thank you all again for being here and allowing me to rant when the need arose. I had out on a pass this evening so she could have a turkey supper and when we got back to the hospital, the doctor on call said that she could come home tonight!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYY We have to contact our clinic on Tuesday to make arrangements for follow up x- rays and PFT's but we are home!!!!! Hopefully we won't be back in anytime soon......this was her third hospital stay in the past 8 years, so if our luck holds out she'll be good for awhile lol. I agree that the best way to ensure that they receive the proper care is to have someone there with them 24/7, which I usually do, but with now being 14 (and thinking she is all grown up lol) she did not want me to stay with her this time, especially NOT when her friends were visiting lol. Guess she wants to spread her wings a bit I was there for treatment times, so I made sure that all neb cups were clean.......but I know one thing for sure........the staff probably let out a huge sigh of relief as soon as I was out the door.......hehehehe cause I have been a major pain in their butts :-Þ Again, thank you to all who replied to my cry for help, it was greatly appreciated. I've posted a pic of in the photos section (folder name is Dawn). Have a great day!!
