Guest guest
I think if you want to try lentils, start with the pink (or red) ones... these are the same as the common greenish brown lentils, only they've been de-hulled, so would be a bit easier to digest. Prepare them according to BTVC... and then have him try just a very SMALL amount, and wait to see how he does. They are definitely pretty fibrous. Patti Lentels Is it " ok " to introduce lentels before the six month mark when beans can be tried? Praise the Lord that cooler whether has set in here in NC(not that it is here to stay). I am ready to make some delicious hearty soups. Before scd, I would commonly have pasta, beans, ect. in my soups along with other ingredients, of course. Obviously, the pasta is no more, and we haven't hit the six month mark to try the beans yet. I just wondered if lentels are something that can be tried a bit sooner. iel's been scd for almost 4 1/2 months now. We are still in the stage of cooked and pealed fruits and vegies though if that gives any indication of what is safe to try. We can do nut butters and nut flours, but haven't tried larger pieces of nut yet either. Meleah scd 05/06 iel eyrs., asd Ethan 5yrs., Mark 1yr.
