Guest guest
Are some of you still on the scdiet?Grammy recommended me ask you about becuase I need help. I really aprecciate if you can answer me in spanish. My son (9)has been for 3 1/2 months with SCD. at the beginning every thing was fine but he is with colic, abnormal poop, weakness and neurological abnormalities again. I was checking all my daily reports and I found an increase of fat after the first month on his diet, because he tolerated just few foods like the avocado (I didnt know that in small quiantities) . the last change made it on the diet is take off must fats, chicken and fish cleaned from fats, no olive oil, he is eating 6 times a day with 50gr of avocado each since two days ago. every food is peeled, deseeded and well coked since 5 days ago again. yestarday was the first day in 15 days he made poop without help (supositories) and he slept early and all night long. he is having abnormal gas before to sleep, his poop is smelly yet but less than 5 days ago. I reduced the amount of carrots and fruit. If some body can tell me wich vegetables may I incorporate, if is recommended give him meat and pork (without fat), and egg white. he has been loosing a little weight because I retired must fat. Im really worrie. I need a SCD doctor near from here because is more difficult trevel out of my country, I live in Yucatán Mexico. I really aprecciate if somebody can recommended me a good doctor who " understand and be agree with SCD. sorry for my bad english --------------------------------- Correo Yahoo! te ofrece 1GB de espacio, ¡gratis! Guest guest
Hi , > Are some of you still on the scdiet?Grammy recommended me ask you about becuase I need help. I really aprecciate if you can answer me in spanish. Sorry, I don't speak/write Spanish, but hope this will help. > My son (9)has been for 3 1/2 months with SCD. at the beginning every thing was fine but he is with colic, abnormal poop, weakness and neurological abnormalities again. Fats can be harder to digest in the early stages of healing. As the body heals it will become easier to digest fats. But, it sounds as if he is improving > he is having abnormal gas before to sleep, his poop is smelly yet but less than 5 days ago. I reduced the amount of carrots and fruit. The gas may be from Die off. see http://pecanbread.com/difficulties.html#initial Epsom salt baths or SCD legal activated charcoal may help reduce the abnormal gas. > If some body can tell me wich vegetables may I incorporate, You may be okay with peeled, cooked squash, peeled cooked zuchinni, cooked green beans. Start each vegetable as a small amount and gradually increase it over 2-3 days. >if is recommended give him meat and pork (without fat), and egg white. he has been loosing a little weight because I retired must fat. It is normal for children to lose a little weight when they start SCD. Their bodies are working extra hard at the change in diet. Also they may lose weight because their bodies are using extra calories to start the healing process. Extra small meals (or snacks) between main meals may help give extra calories and put back on weight. If he is not able to eat some SCD snack foods yet, you can small amounts of the foods he is able to eat now. > Im really worrie.
