Guest guest
We are on day 5. My husband and I are doing SCD in support of our kids, although the two of us do not have any symptoms of anything (the kids have ASD and gut issues). Neither of us were having D prior to starting SCD, but the last couple of days we have started having it. Why would it appear when we did not have it prior to starting? We are eating eggs, chicken, roast beef and venison (crockpot), honey, cooked apples (with honey and cinnamon), cooked carrots, cooked green beans, cooked spinach, some mustard for flavor (no sugar et al). All stage one, as far as I can tell. Any thoughts? Lynn 5 days SCD 9 yr old ASD, 4.5 yr old and 21 mth old gut issues
Guest guest
I would say that it is caused from the die off of the yeast that is in your gut, but you just weren't aware of its presence. My other thought would be that the foods you've listed that you're eating right now seem like a lot for only being 5 days into scd. If you did the intro diet for 2 days, then that means you've introduced several new foods in a 3 day span. It could be that this is just too much for your gut to handle so quickly with it having new and tender tissue in there where the yeast used to preside. Meleah SCD causing diarrhea? > We are on day 5. Guest guest
> Dear Lynn, I am not a veteran of the diet but I can suggest that maybe you are using too much honey, which can work as a mild laxative. I made sure I started out slowly with this. Take care and best of luck. Ronnie > We are on day 5.
