since my wife has not had an attack since Jan,04. She has had CP

for about 6 years now. In Jan, she stopped taking Calcium

supplements and since then, no attacks. Until this morning.

Anyways, this morning she had a dark stool movement followed in a

few hours by an bad attack. She took a few Vicodin and is now asleep.

She has been taking Pepto Bismol for mild upset stomach for a

month now, but no Maalox.

Has anyone experienced this kind of dark bowel movement followed

by a CP attack ? Thanks.

It is very common for Pepto Bismal to cause very dark stools.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Lily, appreciate that. She's only been on Pepto for a few

days and she noticed it this morning. Now that means no bismuths and

no Maalox,,guess we have to find another one for upset or sour

stomach.
