I was gone for 15 days ....Enzyme level was 8,000 when I arrived at the

I am depressed, tired, weak, skinny, and just looking forward to my next meal!

Wayne,

Being the first on the block to have an acute pancreatitis attack,

unfortunately,

is a title that many of us have had to share with you. For many of us, it may

have even seemed to be the first person in our town. And I don't think there

have been too many of us that even knew what a pancreas was or what it did,

until pancreatitis came into our lives.

I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you, and just wanted to ask you to

share your story a little more when you can. Did they determine the cause,

and do you have a good gastroenterologist now? Where abouts in the

country are you?

We've got a great group here that would love to help you out with any

questions or issues you may have, all you have to do is ask. Hopefully your

doctor has talked to you about a low fat diet, abstaining from all alcohol, and

prescribed some enzyme supplements to help with your weight problem. I

know how hard the low weight problem is, I' ve been fighting that off and on

for over three years now, and have just recently reached a fairly acceptable

level, if I don't mind being called " skinny " .....at least that's a step up from

" emaciated " .

Other than the Activan, have you been given any pain meds? Guess that's all

the questions I can think of for now, but they're all relative to your condition

now and it's helpful for us to know how you're being treated.

Feel free to post again with any questions.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
