Guest guest
http://www.caloriecontrol.org/tagatose.html Diet Pepsi Slurpees contain a new low calorie sweetener called Tagatose. I found this when looking for the ingredients online. The link above provides fairly detailed information on how Tagatose is processed by the body. One section in particular stands out: " Only 15-20 percent of tagatose is absorbed in the small intestine. The major part of ingested tagatose is fermented in the colon by indigenous microflora.... With certain sensitive individuals, mild gastrointestinal discomfort (e.g., flatulence and laxation) may occur as with other low digestible carbohydrates. " This makes me believe that Elaine would NOT have approved of this product. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
