Guest guest
Hello again! I can't comment on Pancrease because I've never taken it. Others may be able to compare. In the first few weeks of Creon I did have additional or new abdominal cramps but they went away and it's just magic now. I suppose one has to adjust to it. Everyone reacts differently; it just works very well for me almost eliminating the gas, diarrhoea etc. which goes with malabsorption. Good luck with the block; I hope you get at least temporary relief. Yes, you could say I am a veteran pancreatitis sufferer! I keep thinking I should apply for a place in the Guinness Book of Records! It's strange because I never understood as a child why I had these hideous attacks of pain which nobody else I knew got. From what I've read, alcohol-caused CP does develop more quickly than the hereditary version. BTW, my improvement might also be down to the fact that I drink absolutely no alcohol now whereas I used to enjoy a glass of wine with meals, especially when eating out, but, in recent years, at home as well. I do miss it but, if it helps to avoid that awful pain, I have to accept it! I don't know how much is the no-alcohol and low fat and how much is the Creon because I started them all together. For various reasons, I do feel the Creon plays a major part. Good luck again, Fliss
