It was red, swollen and hot, and I ice packed it and it cleared up the next day. I had the same thing happen to the large bone just behind my big toe. RP does strange things like this to you. It just hits and runs. Or sometimes hits and stays. I judge everything, including a red ear that lasts only a short time, as a mini flare. If it wouldn't have happened to me before I had RP, then it's RP or, at least, RP related. It's pretty complicated because there are so many manifestations to rheumatological disorders.
