Guest guest
I think it means that Zach has good self esteem!! I hate those damn reports.........push for services. ITs so much better if they get them when they are younger. Dylan is 7 and still getting speech and OT........... Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and have coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT "
Guest guest
That sounds like a comment I heard a child development professional make one time. I was working under her in a college in a day care setting. At the quarterly child update they told the parents that this one kid was just testing their limits. He was a tantrum thrower delux, in my nonprofessional oppinion what he needed was a darn good spanking!! :-) But actually self-importance can mean many things. We try extra hard not to spoil Patti, she's the baby and has cf. But she knows our world centers around her due to treatments, meds., extra snacks, etc... How could a child like yours and mine not have a strong sense of self-importance? Dawn mom of 4, 7 and under, the youngest wcf
Guest guest
I think that it is really important for everyone to have a " strong sense of self importance " ! Just think if they had written the opposite!!! Gale > We had our Early Intervention meeting yesterday for Zach. His > developmental delays have improved. At diagnosis he was 32% delayed > and now he is 21% delayed. Yeah Zach! > His developmental therapist wrote this as her comment about his > social skills: " Zach has a strong sense of self-importance " . > > The developmental therapist was not at the meeting, but she had > faxed her report. I wonder what she means by that. and I > think she means Zach is spoiled rotten. > What do you think? > Sara
Guest guest
I would definitely take that as a compliment! Sounds to me like that boy is what you call assertive and will be a leader. Do it Zach! Joe > > We had our Early Intervention meeting yesterday for Zach. His > > developmental delays have improved. At diagnosis he was 32% > delayed > > and now he is 21% delayed.
