Guest guest
Morning ... when I went to clinic on 4/15/00, I was walking with a cane due to arthritis in my knees. Dr. R told me, as did Jane - a post-op who was at clinic, that I would not need the cane when I left the hospital. They were both right. I left the hospital without using the cane ... and have been caneless since the surgery. I don't have trouble with my knees any more at all -- what a relief -- and the only trouble I have with my back is the adjustments it is going through due to my weight loss (I can handle that!) ... I don't know what it is about the surgery ... but it was incredible to have no pain in my knees for the first time in several years! Also: hair loss -- I had my surgery on 4/18/00 -- and my hair loss began at about 2-1/2 months out ... I'm almost 6 months out and it has slowed a lot. My hair is a lot thinner but I know it will be growing back in soon. It is a slight price to pay for this whole new person! Ann MGB 4/18/00 316/240 (9/15/00)/150?? bunches a inches gone too!!
