Guest guest
Becky, Die-off can look different for each kid. Some have poop changes, some have flu symptoms... fever, chills, headache, lethargy. Some get runny noses..... some get hyper-irritable.... some get rashes. You could see any one... or ALL of these symptoms at some point in the first weeks. The main thing to remember is that you will see ALL KINDS OF CHANGES. Just try not to worry too much about exactly what is causing what.... or whether this or that is die-off, per se. I would keep the pureed carrots in.... unless you're just seeing it coming out the other end looking almost like it did going in. *Some* kids do not tolerate carrots.... but keep the amount on the smallish side and just watch his poop to see if it's just passing on through. It sounds like he's eating really well! Patti Pooh questions Ok we are on day 7 and the last 2 days we have had runny pooh, but not watery diarreha. Sat. night we had a small formed pooh, Friday had a formed pooh with a little runny on top. Could die off just be starting on day seven? This morning he seemed to have the shivers, but sitter said she didn't notice any during the day. Are shivers typical? He hasn't been cranky really. Last night I put small amount of cooked carrots in with his chicken nuggets (he had 2). Then an hour later i read a post talking about how some kids and adults don't tolerate carrots (just when i think i'm doing good). I don't know if the small amount of carrots did it or if runny pooh is typical die off. We didn't start the diet with runny pooh (it's like soupy mashed potatoes). Also if he is eating all this fruit wouldn't that lend him towards having more runny pooh. At the beginning of the diet he ate more cheese (which may explain the firmer poohs), now he wants his chicken nuggets and apple/pear/zucchnisauce. Last night he ate 7 chicken nuggests (5 regular, 2 with carrots) will someome let me know what die off looks like if you started with fairly normal pooh? Thanks for all your help!!!!
