Guest guest
My guess is five years. This based on the knowledge that insurance companies generally will pay to replace the nebulizer compressor only once every five years. My son will be six in February, he didn't get his first compressor until he was about six months of age, and we just got a new compressor. I didn't notice our old one getting louder, just that it was taking about twice as long to run the same aerosols as when it was new. ~ > I was wondering how often the nebulizer it self needs to be > replaced. We have a Invacare Envoy, we havehad it going on 4 years > this coming spring. It seems to be getting louder.
Guest guest
Hi, We had one that lasted 3 and 1/2 years, but by 3 yrs, it had started losing power. All the meds took a long time to do. When we got the new one we were really surprised at how quickly the meds were finished, but we realized it was because the old one was not as powerful. with the old one, it had taken us 20 min for a 1/2 dose of Tobi, with the new one it is about 10 min. If it is seeming really loud or it is losing power I would get a new one if you can. mom of 5 with CF and one on the way life expectancy of a nebulizer? I was wondering how often the nebulizer it self needs to be replaced. We have a Invacare Envoy, we havehad it going on 4 years this coming spring. It seems to be getting louder. I didn't really notice it, but while visiting my family who i haven't seen in about 3 mos they have said that it seems to be louder. So i just thought i would try to see how everyone else has handle this. We use it up to 4x a day but average 2 x a day. TIA mom to Breanna 11 1/2 wocf and Noah 3 1/2 wcf

Guest guest
We seem to have to replace ours every 3-4 years. They update them about that often too. We have the best out there. It is a Pari Neb Ultra. Lynette Carwana
