Hi Lori,

I can only speak for myself, but my first major flare

was so painful I can't even describe it. It lasted

for 10 days to 2 weeks, 24/7. On medication (lots) I

sometimes get only pain. My sed rates are always

normal and I was diagnosed on symptoms.

I also have TMJ and that does cause pain in my

internal ear, but not the external.

Hope you get some answers soon. Are you seeing a

rheumatologist?

Take care and welcome to the group. Love, squeek
