Thanks Grammy for all the technical info. It is quite helpful. I still think

when doing deworming treatments, yeast treatments, etc., we should be

loading in the good bugs @ the same time to fill up the space so it won't

leave room for the others. Jenn & K --- Original Message -----

protozoal parasite to infect humans (ie protozoals are microscopic parasites

such as Giardia, a bug familiar to most people but not as common as either

Blasto. or D.fragilis).Herbal treatments may, in less severe cases, reduce

the parasite to lower levels. However, parasites are masters at survival

and once treatment

health. Having managed the site for 7 years, and researched testing and

teatment of parasitic infections for this long, I've only heard from two

people, out of a few thousand, who recovered permanently by using herbal

treatments. Many people who write to me have tried herbs for months, at

geat expense,

> only to test positive after stopping. There are only a few drugs available

which Blasto. is sensitive to. Unfortunatley there's no magic bullet at

this stage, mainly because controversy Blasto's ability to cause illness has

limited research (it's been a big issue since it was discovered in the early

1900s) In fact many drs refuse to treat Blasto. if they do not believe it's

pathogenic. Luckily there are a few good doctors & researchers who take Bh

very seriously as a cause of illness and these are the people doing the

research. One dr, a gastro., in Sydney treats this parasite with a

combination of drugs. He knows how difficult it can be to eradicate, not in

all cases, but enough for concern. He's currently trialling 3 drugs and the

results will be avaialble in a few weeks. In the meantime I can send you

other treatment info. I've collected from other sources for you to show your

dr. Please do not post the info. on this or any similar list because it's

vitally

> important that treatment outcomes are monitored. This is the only way a

good treatment for Blasto. will ever be found and drs educated on how to

effectively treat this parasite. If you are interested in treatments feel

free to contact me. The site address is http//www.badbugs.org. You'll also

find info. about Blasto. there. Click on the " contact me " sign. I answer

all emails, but sometimes there may be a delay depending on how many I've

received that week. all the best Jackie Delaney www.badbugs.org

> I'm sharing this information in case it might help someone. I've been

dealing with a parasite for 2+ years. It's likely I've had it a while -

maybe as long as 15 years. Since my positive diagnosis, I've read much

about parasites and consulted with Jackie Delaney at www.badbugs.org who is

has been indispensible in providing me with valuable information. Another

resource that provided me with a wealth of information is the book " Guess

What Came to Dinner: Parasites and Your Health " by Louise Gittleman. I

highly recommend that everyone (whether you think you might have parasites

OR NOT) read the most recent edition of this book. Gittleman is not an

alarmist. She simply has studied the subject for many years and gathered

much factual information about the parasite families, what they do, and how

they can be prevented and treated. She's gathered her information from

thousands of real cases and research from authorities such as Dr. Amin,

international parasitologist who

> has authored over 130 publications and books. (By the way, Dr. Amin

praises Gittleman's book saying there is no other resource like it

available.) According to Gittleman's findings, in some cases of Crohns,

parasites have been a causitive factor. There is a whole host of reasons

why parasites are on the rise while their detection is not. Doctors and lab

technicians do not receive good training in parasitology; detection is

tricky and requires more sophisticated testing procedures than your local

lab provides; symptoms often mimick other diseases, etc. There are numerous

cases where once a patient is successfully diagnosed and treated for

parasites, their previously diagnosed " problem " goes away. If I can offer

additional information on this topic to anyone, please let me know.

Parasites with info on how to eradicate them. The 2 books I have are " The

cure for all diseases " by Hulda , and " Parasites - the enemy within " by

Hanna Kroeger. When I owned my health food store these 2

the book it is caused by a ball of worms lying there. However, some of the

herbs used to eradicate parasites appear to be illegal on SCD. Also, a

search on the internet under 'parasites' will bring up lots of info. I

hasten to add that I am not an expert, and I don't wish to invite any

controversy on this subject!
