LOL No , my rheumy said the " Knock out " guy (you know that word none of us know how to spell) LOL the guy who puts you to sleep will go over all of this with me. I'm really up in the air. I don't have any appts set up prior to the surgery and the surgeon just told me on the phone he was going to gather more information and then let me know. LOL He didn't have any appts available. Geez...makes me wonder. LOL MY rheumy told me he would trust this guy with any of his family. So guess I'll just have to wait. I have heard nothing about exercises before the surgery, but I would think someone will tell me something. I know that the breathing exercises and walking is a must. I think they get you up that night or the next day. OUCH!! I'm so glad to hear that your mom is doing so well. My cardiologist insisted on a mechanical valve and the surgeon wants a bovine or human valve. He is afraid of me taking the coumadin. Maybe he heard what a klutz I am.
