Guest guest
, Regarding the Neurontin, I was repeating what I'd heard earlier on this MB, and I shouldn't have said that without backing up my statement. I've heard rumors only, or unfounded reports, that there had been incidences of pancreatitis while taking this medication. I don't know if you could say that it actually " caused " pancreatitis, as you said. It could be that the pancreatitis was brought on using Neurontin in conjunction with other meds. I searched the internet for information confirming this and couldn't find anything in a quick search yesterday. Small references here and there, but I didn't have enough time to do a really thorough search. Granted, internet information isn't always accurate and you have to sieve through truth from fiction. I usually only trust certified medical websites or hospital research for accurate information. My doctor was aware of this rumor also, but couldn't verify it. He didn't seem to feel that it would hurt me, but he did say that I should let my GI know that I was taking it to make sure that he didn't have any objections. So I apologize for saying what I did about Neurontin without backing up my statement. I was only able to do a quick search yesterday because of time restraints, but I will look into this further and see if I can find anything more about it. I hope this hasn't caused you unnecessary concern. I would ask that whoever it was that made the statement a few months back about Neurontin sometimes causing pancreatitis to speak up again. I remember this person said that and said that because of this, they would never take the drug again. Again, I'm sorry if this has caused you any concern. I personally am in favor of the medication for myself. It's been like a wonder drug. I can't say what it does on it's own, but in combination with my other meds it's helped me a lot. I'm not taking half the amount of Oxycodone for BT that I was earlier before I started on the Neurontin. Most days I don't need the Oxycodone at all, so if it can help me with that, I'm personally in favor of it. But, as I said earlier, everyone's reaction to meds varies, what's suitable for one person may not be suitable for another. YMMV. Think good thoughts, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
, Getting wired off percocet is a very rare cause of the drug. Not many people get it. But you could be one of them. I don't drink coffee on any regular basis. I remember when I have in the past on occasion indulged in it. When I take a percocet it makes me feel like when I used to drink a pot of coffee myself. So horrible. Gritting and clenching my teeth all night long. And a bad feeling over all that I try to relieve by eating something. Not anything like being nauseated, just a nervous, twitching feeling. My mind constantly running and I can't get it to settle down ot slow down. Also I wanted to add that I was given Zanax for anxiety issues too. I did not take it as prescribed, That is every for 4 hours. I only took 1/2 mg of one at night to help me sleep to prevent a pancreatic attack. And yes, I know that can't do that. But my mind tells me it can and has for 2 years now. But also know that Zanax is considered highly addictive too.
