Guest guest
Here is what Elaine's website states about ascorbic acid: Ascorbic acid Legal Should be nothing but Vitamin C. BTW,I think that blanched almonds would be better than ones with skins, Mimi > I bought a bag of frozen peaches and ascorbic acid is on the > ingrediens list. Guest guest
, I will let someone else answer about the ascorbic acid as I know it has been a subject of some controversy. As for the almond flour, I think that you should go for blanched. Its just much easier on the system. The skins can be hard to digest. Who knows, if you start giving him blanched almond flour instead, he might get some trohpies. Just a thought. Charlene UC 8 years SCD almost 6 years I bought a bag of frozen peaches and ascorbic acid is on the ingrediens list. I don't see ascorbic acid listed on the approved list. Is it legal? Also, I've been giving my son almond brownies for a few weeks now, and it has occured to me that the alonds are not blanched. Is this problematic considering he has only been on the diet for 3 months? His poops aren't at the trophy level yet (I LOVE that description), but are well formed. , Mom to Jack, 5yrs, ASD, 3 mos SCD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
I am using almond butter, as opposed to flour, but the almonds used to make the butter aren't blanched. I haven't found blanched almond butter, so I'm wondering about using another type of butter which is well tolerated (we're at 3 mos SCD). , Mom to Jack, 5 yrs, ASD, 3 mos SCD Re: Ascorbic Acid > > I bought a bag of frozen peaches and ascorbic acid is on the > ingrediens list. You may have to add a little oil for creamy texture. Carol F. SCD 6 years, Celiac
