sorry folks, I have to laugh.....never thought I'd be sharing my " toilet

issues " with hundred of folks online~

I must say, even though I feel a tremendous amount of sadness in knowing

there are so many folks affected by the diarhea.....I was at the same time

relieved to know I am not so far from " normal " for this group....lol <dont'

mean to

offend....just nice to fit in somewhere>

Around my parents' house (they live next door) with them both being in their

mid-70s...bowel movements are a topic of conversation at the dinner table....

My dad and I have sort of made a game of giving the bathroom visits a

nickname... for instance....

He calls it " gotta go call Ms. " and he may add " and this one's gonna

be long distance, so don't wait up for me " . Sometimes I'll ask if he " got

through to Ms , or was her line busy again " . (OK, I admit we're a strange

family.)

or things similar to that accompany any family member using the bathroom.

As I look at this, maybe my family needs to join a mental-health group

online.....we seem to find humor in then oddest places ~

Coffee up the nose on that one. Love your dad. My mother managed to

pull a little ol' lady trick and break her radius. She and I are on

the same narcotic. Lots of poop talk. Gawdess, I am only 51 and am

having conversations that should not have come along for two decades

or so. Thanks for the laugh.

Donna,

at least you can find the humor there. With chronic illness, humor is as

necessary as breathing to give us a break from an otherwise horrid

existence. So don't worry, you don't need a mental health group. We can

all use a good laugh now and then.
