Hi, it sounds to me that you have reflux, more then anything which

does annoy the pacreas, to say the least. Also the pain is in the

back between the shoulders, and burns like hell. The back of the

throat feels slimey and can taste horrid. You also get the pain in

your stomach, again between the ribs, and that burns as well.Doea

any off this sound the same?? Jac.xox

No Jac, I do not have those symptoms. I have fought my doctor for years

that I don't have acid reflux. He says everyone that has CP MUST have

acid reflux. I am here to tell you different.

My SOD pain is not in the middle of the back but more to the right side

side and in my front. It is painful to say the least. But I do not

have a bad taste in my mouth when I do have that acting up. And the

pancreas pain is not accompanied by acid in the throat, a bad taste or

burning in my throat. Just burning, boring feeling in my pancreas.

I have had acid indigestion before and know the symptoms. In fact, my

son was just put on prevacid for acid reflux.

My virus is causing my throat to swell and making it seem that my saliva

is too thick to swallow. Not that it tastes bad, has an after taste or

anything else.

I appreciate your kind words but this isn't my problem. I just wanted to

know what other people did when they were prescribed meds that have

pancreatitis listed as a side effect.

Thanks,

Sandy in California
