Tried to Keep Mouth Shut

I have tried to stay out of this stuff with T, but all you pre-

ops can surely see she is not a happy camper so therefore she is

going to down Dr. R. Please don't let this sway your decision to have

the safest possible weight loss surgery..I had it 4/20/2000. I have

lost 80 pounds,BUT, I have also followed the rules that Dr. R sets

forth..I started exercizing slow but have really gotten into walking

now. I know that I can call him at anytime if I feel I am having a

problem and I am from out of state..I have had no need to return for

a follow-up visit. I have gone to my PCP and he is very pleased with

the results. All blood work was normal..All of you that have

researched WLS know the difference between the MGB and the others,

STOP and listen to your head and not your emotions. Any surgery is

nerve racking but when you have someone like blasting everybody

with all the negatives on ONLY the MGB then you must know she is

disgruntled. Why would other patients not come forward with problems??

I don't believe Dr. R is part of the mafia and going to kill if we

say anything bad..He has opened up a web site that we all can go to

and get all kinds of information GOOD AND BAD about this surgery and

as far as i know no one has been told to shut up and don't say

anything bad about the MGB..He is moderating the list and looks to me

like all 's bad things are coming through. Please search all the

information on all WLS and don't let one person sway you one way or

the other..I would have this surgery a million times over. It has

changed my life..Wish I could put my Good thoughts about the MGB down

on paper the way can put her Bab thoughts but I am not a lawyer

so I don't have the educated words . But I do know that Dr. Rutledge

is one of the finest Doctors in this country and the MGB is one of

the safest ways to have this type of surgery. These are only a few of

my thoughts..Take care pre-ops and know the MGB is the safest

possible procedure for this type of surgery..Would be glad to talk
