Guest guest
Milhouse2, What's your name? Let's see, it took me 2 1/2 months from time of packet submittal to get insurance approval, Dr R approval and a surgery date. Others have done it in much quicker time. You are very close being in Greensboro. A lot of patients come from around the country and Canada and some from Iceland. I eat EVERYTHING, just in smaller quantities and all throughout the day. Not one problem with digesting food :-). You made me laugh with the " diaper " idea. I know exactly what you meant! That drug was gross! I was born fat and tried every diet and drug on the market. Lost and gained weight since I was 12 years old. It's so nice to finally be losing weight knowing it will stay off. BTW, a lot of patients are able to come off their BP and diabetes medicine after losing weight with the MGB. Welcome to the group. Guest guest
Dear Milhouse2, You are so close being only an hour away. I am from Ca and had my surgery 11 days ago. I am doing wonderful and only wish I was closer so that I could attend the support meetings and picnics and be close to others who had the surgery. Although I take consolation in the fact that when I got home it was in the seventies with low humitity. When I was in NC I thought your state was so beautiful, but it rained everyday I was there and the heat with humitity was oppressive. We each have to make the best of what we have, and what NC has is the best surgeon in the world to help obese people to transform their lives. I assure you you have come to the right place, and encourage you to keep researching because an educated patient is what Dr Rutledge wants and what will bring you the most success. Welcome to the group, and please tell us your name so we don't have to call you Milhouse2.
