Morning everyone

Well had my normal visit with my Rheumy today..Will start seeing him only once a

month now unless something comes up. He's also has increased my MTX medication,

but is still keeping me on the same dose of Pred which is 12.5 mg. Will be

taking the MTX from 7.5 mg to 12.5 mg. Hopefully what I have been explaining

here about my face ears and neck turning red will get better.

Had a lot of my questions answered. Also found out my Rheumy did a research

paper on RP...Yep..he even showed me a couple pictures of his subject...Her ear

was really bad and looked like mine about 6 years ago and she had the swollen

face and redness like I get and have.

As for my face or head feeling and looking like it's swollen that is part of RP.

Where my face will turn bright read and my neck too and then go away..that too

is part of RP where the blood vessels are acting up from the RP.

He really cleared up some of my questions as to when I should call him. Told

him I'm not one to call a doctor every time something happens to me, but then on

the other hand I do tend to wait until it's really bad. My visit with him

really made me feel a little better.

I also got another injection in my hip and hopefully this will help with the

pain. The last one was back in January so that's not bad. Ask him when a hip

replacement would be really needed and he said when the pain gets to where I

cannot stand it and the injections don't ease the pain. Also I should loose the

mobility too. Am not there yet thank goodness.

Other than that see the Neurologist next Thursday to address the numbness in my

left hand and fingers and maybe several other questions. Then comes my eye

doctor...have a lot of questions for him since my right eye is really red again

which may mean the pressure is up there again. No pain so not sure.

Other than that all is looking okay...I feel better knowing that my Rheumy knows

more that I thought he did.

Oh! Did tell him I was going to tell you all and he may be seeing more like me

<grin> Not sure if he could hand more like me however <bigger grin>

hugs

Hey

Hey

First I want to let you know if I repete myself or I make stupid posts it's

because my brain seems to shut down on me at time. I do find myself getting

confussed and all and when someone brings it to my attention I really feel funny

and stupid. So figured I would just let you know in advance. Shoot am having

one of those dang days today don't you know. I'm lucky I know my name.. Sure

hope I can remember how to get home. Sounds funny but it's true :)

Not sure if I told you...but my Rheumy did a research paper on RP..this is why

he is so up-to-date on it. Know you will be in good hands.

I think I told you or someone he showed me pictures...dang..it's 5pm and time to

go home...Need to do that now or I will get lost.

hugs
