Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Yes! I was lucky with the fall. The rib pain is wearing off also. We have six weeks summer hols, two weeks at Easter and Christmas and a week in the middle of each term. However there is a still a mass of work to do during the hols to prepare for the following term and also work with the students whose examination results come out in August. Lots of admin, couselling, preparatory work, additional coaching of students etc. etc. Our particular school's staff are very dedicated and many work very hard even during the hols when it's voluntary. The Head leads by example and practically lives in the place! A lot to live up to as his deputy! I'm hoping the raised ESR may not be panc-related but may be arthritis (I do have a lot of joint pain) or maybe I had some sort of viral infection at the time. I expect it will be high again in the tests I've just had done because i had that very bad flare-up on Monday night and the blood test was done on Thursday when I was still " iffy " . Chrissy, I am worried about you and work. How can you nurse without doing those very things, such as bending and lifting, which you find hard now? Did you actually find a different sort of job to do which will be less physically strenuous? What does think? He is a good doc and obviously not easily fooled. Please don't jeopardise your recovery! I know you know more about these things than I do so I don't mean to preach. I just want you to go from strength to strength without major setbacks. But I do know what your work means to you because i'm exactly the same about mine. Can't bear the thought of retiring most of the time! Take care! With love, Fliss
