The best thing that came from it was that they cut the majority of the nerves to my pancreas. I changed the heading of your post primarily so that when someone searches the archives for whipple information, your post will appear. This is wonderful news to hear that you've had a successful procedure done and are now feeling the benefits from it! So often we hear only about the failure's of this procedure, so it's great to hear about the successes. How long ago was the Whipple done? I'm so glad that you are getting so much more relief, and I hope this continues indefinitely. Think good thoughts, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. It took 4 hours to get through the adhesions from many other abdominal surgeries. At this point I started to go unstable and needed 4 units to keep me from heading down the long tunnel to the white light. In all I was under for 6 hours and all they could manage to do was cut the majority of my nerves. They did see that my common bile duct was restricted so 3 days later when I was stable enough they did an ERCP and put a stent in it to open it up. While the pancreas is still in the same condition it was in pre-op we did gain function of the duct again. any other questions..EM me regards,Chris
