No,it's all taken care of .The morning of surgery you'll talk with a C.R.N.A

(nurse anesthetist) and an anesthesiologist. Expect to repeat your past

medical history and stick out your tongue(that's how they evaluate your

airway for surgery).Not much to it beyond that. Both my hubby and I were very

pleased w/ the anesthesia team.(Hubby is a C.R.N.A. student 1/2 way through

his program). Hope that helps!
