Although I was not working in the lab, we did receive specimens and log them before sending them to the lab. One day while putting a glass jar into a waste bin a piece of glass tubing got in my finger, this tubing had been used to transfer blood from one container to another. I had it removed in the ER, had a couple of stitches and thought nothing more about it, UNTIL TODAY!!!! It does make you wonder.
