Ladies - I usually don't post very much, but this conversation struck a nerve! I just told my husband tonight that I am eating so much food, that I don't possibly see how I can continue to loose weight!!!!! I am a post-op since 6/7/00, starting weight 311, down to 263 as of yesterday (three month anniversary). 48 pounds is nothing to sneeze at, and I'm certainly not complaining about the success so far -- BUT -- my eating habits are changing rapidly. I can eat ANYTHING I want. Nothing bothers me, including sugar and fats. The only adverse reaction I ever have is if I swallow too rapidly without chewing enough, sometimes I upchuck. And yes - I can eat a six inch sub from Subway...and I can eat most of a small bag of Baked Lays, AND - drink bottled water while I do it...it may take me a half hour, but since I get an hour for lunch I'm really in no hurry and down it goes! So far I've lost 30 pounds the first month, and approx. 10 each month after that. My husband's reaction to my worrying about this tonight was to say, " Well at that rate, in a year you'll have lost 120 pounds! " But I am afraid!!! So, I am writing you all this to let you know that I am concerned about this, and I will definately keep you all posted on the progress.... (And no, I'm not the same who keeps winning the Diet Pool contest at her job! But she's doing so well, that I kind of wish I was!!!!!) M.
