Guest guest
Well I have gone from 117lbs in Feb. 2002 to 164lbs as of yesterday. This weight gain is attributed to type 2 diabetes. What a way to gain weight! My primary care doc told me that I need to get on the South Beach Diet. Me diet, hehehe. I have always been under weight my entire life until now. The past two days I have seen my endocronologist(sp) and today my primary care doctor. I am glad I had the intuition on holding off on get the prescription of tricor filled that was issued by my endo Dr. I showed the prescription to my primary care doc and she not to fill it, because the likelyhood of it will cause an acute pancreatic attack is really high. A little background on my primary care doc. She has had two patients prior to me with Chronic Pancreatitis. One with pancreas divisum, which I have. She took care of those while she was in Her residency. She put my on Niaspan, time released niacin and kids asprin for the side effects. All in all when I leave Her office I feel upbeat about my situation. She instills comfort and a positive attitude even with the long term is not all that great.
