Guest guest
I am so excited. We submitted paperwork from the pediatrician, chart notes and photos from CT and a personal letter to my insurance provider and the very next day we received great news. Instead of paying out of network rates (a $3,000 deductible then 50%) we get the in-network rate of a $1,500 deductible (which we've almost reached) and they kick in 80% beyond that. So huge cost savings for us. CT was a great help and I feel bad for doubting them. They were wonderful and very helpful in submitting the paperwork. I did not know what to write in my letter so I just made it personal and included reasons why I wanted my son to be seen there (ie reasons why they stood out over other orthotic companies). I also noted someone I personally knew that was covered by them 100%, trying to make a case of discrimination in a way I suppose. It was a stressful process especially juggling my 3 kids this week and I stayed up really late going over the sample letters on the cappskids website. In the end I just decided they were too technical because I wasn't trying to make the case for it being covered but rather the % that was covered. So I just decided to tell our story. So if that helps with anyone in my situation, know that success can be achieved!!! Yeah! CT was very happy for us too. They like it when they win the insurance battles.
