Guest guest
Any organic juices that are legal? Thx, Michele > > Welch's grape juices .... IN THE BOTTLES.... are legal, even though the label says from concentrate. I know this is confusing. In all other instances, concentrates are not okay. > > Welch's FROZEN grape juice is NOT legal.. they add sugar to that. > > The Knudsen apple juice is not legal. The only Knudsen juices that are allowed are in their " Just Juice " line... the apple and pear and not in that line. > > The other apple juice you mention is *possibly* okay... but I personally would not use it. If you feel comfortable with it, you'd have to use it at your own risk. I would prefer a statement in writing.... not just someone on the phone.... but I still feel uncomfortable about not knowing exactly how long the juice is cooked in the factory. When they say " slowly pasteurized " , I don't really know what that means... or how much sorbitol/fructose is concentrating in that time. With apple or pear, it's just a lot more tricky for SCD-ers. Sorry. > > To be honest, my daughter won't drink anything but honey lemonade (fresh lemon juice squeezed into water... a bit of honey to sweeten), so I don't ever buy pre-made juice at all. > > If I did, and I was just dead set on buying apple cider of some kind, I would have to practically watch them press it before my very eyes.... and pour it into the bottle. I can't help it... I'm THAT cautious and skeptical. > > I have a cheap juicer (bought for $24 at a hardware store clearance sale) that I could use if Katera would drink juice... but she doesn't like it, so I just use that for carrot juice for myself. > > Patti > Re: Re: Juice > > > Ok, I have gone to the 3 supermarkets in Coronado, where we live and I have > found from Organics a unfiltered apple juice not from concentrate that says > that the apples and rinsed and pressed and the jice is slowly pasteurized > and bottled. Guest guest
It said Kosher, but not organic, & I wasn't familiar with the brand. We don't typically use grape juice here, but I will see if the HFS near here carries that one. I need it at least for mixing supps in for my 2nd son & daughter since that's the way they take them. Thanks, Michele > > > > Any organic juices that are legal? > > Thx, > > Michele > > > > > Patti included one on the list she posted today. You may have missed it. > > Kedem organic Grape Juice.
