Guest guest
I don't really understand why increasing the yogurt would *cause* sensitivities to other foods. I guess I would suggest pulling out the apples, bananas and spinich for now. Maybe you could reintroduce them in a while, and only let him have them once a week or something.... and see if that helps head off any reaction. He hasn't been on the diet long enough to have had really significant gut healing, so he probably still has a leaky gut.... and that will make sensitivities more likely. Time should bring healing... and greater tolerance of a wider variety. best, Patti Food sensitivities returning? We have been on the diet since June 29th. I have been upping my son's yogurt dose and he is now at one teaspoon. He takes it before bed along with scdophilus. I have introduced apples, bananas, butternut squash, spinach, pears, green beans and zuchini. Lately he has been reacting to apples, bananas and spinach. I know because these have been fed individually and removal of them settles him back down. My question is, could increasing the yogurt be causing his previous sensitivites to return? Should I pull out the yogurt, keep giving scdophilus and try again later? I just don't want to get back to where we were with no fruits and veggies! Guest guest
Hi Mandy, Is your son sensitive to dairy? I see you are dealing with food sensitivities. We are about to start and my son hasn't had fruit in a awhile since most have caused problems and lots of veggies too. If you find something that works around your sensitivities or when you are able to add things back, please let me know. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Mandy, Glad to hear that you have been able to make some progress. I was wondering what kind of sensitivities you've had to deal with? My son has sensitivities to honey, almonds, apples, celery, carrots, to name a few (at least 30 so far). So I am not sure how I can even start the diet. We've been getting by on a rotation diet with meat and lettuce, spinach or broccoli and rice or corn for dinner and lunch and rice or corn cereal for breakfast and things have gotten a little better, meaning his food sensitivities haven't gotten worse. Do you have any advice on how to get this started with all the food sensitivities that make up intro diet? Also, we have avoided casein for a while just to be safe, did you start off with the yogurt or did you wait? -Jill > > > > > > I don't really understand why increasing the yogurt would *cause* > > sensitivities to other foods.
