Anyone Live in NYC

Hello all,

I am new to this group but i have to say that it is awsome.

Everyone is great and very helpful. I was wondering is anyone here

from NYC? Does anyone have a Good GI doc or Panc Doc in NYC that can

help or recomend me. My last Doctor Dr. Shapiro out of United

Hospital thought that I was drug seeking and was very nasty with me

when i was in pain and needed to be admitted very nasty. Before that

I was seeing Dr. Hiere out of Westchester Medical in Westchester. He

basically said there is nothing that he can do and sent me on my way.

I would like to tell you that supposedly he was one of the top 10 GI

docs in the country but I dont think so. My pain Doc reffered me to

this other GI doc and he said he is great. well I went to see him

once and he Blew me off as well he said I think you should go and see

your old doctor there is nothing that I can do. So I am at a loss now

back to step one.I have no GI doc and if i were to have an attack i

will have to deal with the ER docs and we all know how they are and

Chronic Pancreatitis. I have had the horrible disease for 7 years now

and im only 27 soon to be the big 28. They only know about labs and

thats it .. they dont treat the patient they treat the tests and the

papers that show results. I need someone that will stick with me in

the thick and in the thin.. in the bad and the good. not someone that

will prescribe me some meds and send me on my way. If anyone can help

me with this that would be great.. I have 2 insurances so its good

there. Please anyone if you can help please I want someone that will

work with me If i tell him im having an episode then he will take

care of me not just say oh well you will have to deal with it.. So

again if anyone can help in the NYC area please help. I am do

desperate im in pain all the time and im loosing weight like crazy

and the nausea is a joke i mean i need someone to stand by me..
