I don't usually have to wait the full 10 to 14 days before I know I have an infection or not. With the suppressed immune system I can usually tell. At the first signs of an infection contact your dr. It is easier to be put on meds and get rid of it than to wait and hope it goes away. Yes this is the voice of experience!LOL I hate dr. so have put it off a few times and learned the hard way.
