Guest guest
Hi there. My name is Kristie and my son Aidan is 3.3 years old with autism/apraxia/dyspraxia/expressive receptive speech disorder. He has a major issue with yeast we are getting further testing on right now. My hunch is rice is causing issues with yeast in the form of possibly clostridia. So we have been discussing (my husband and I) going from GFCF to the SCD diet (also GFCF). Here is the problem: my son has sensitivities to eggs, almonds, casein, cow milk, gluten etc. The almonds and eggs are very concerning because there seems to be a lot of nut flours on this diet as well as using eggs. Is there somewhere I can go for recipes with these limitations? I am not the best " baker " and this worries me about doing this. Have suggestions for short cuts? Lastly and probably important...my son LOVES to drink...mostly his rice milk (ughh.) Do you know a great recipe for drinks for him? We utlize his drinks for supplements as well. BTW I have on order the Breaking the Vicious Cycle book as well as another one I found specific to dairy free and honey sweetened for autism (SCD diet) found on Amazon. I am hoping there are some good recipes there. Feel free to respond on or offlist. Thank you! Kristie in So California Aidan 3.
