Hi, :

My understanding - but please check this out - is that Dr. Rutledge

wants everyone to have some kind of exercise plan in place. I was

already a member of the Y, and I'm comfortable on their machines, so

I wrote about that.

The exercise is really important. It's not easy to do initially, but

I've built up to working out more than I have in six years!

I was really scared to start, but giving myself permission to knock

off when I get too tired, and being gentle with myself in these early

days has been a good strategy.

I hiked for an hour yesterday, and worked out at the gym this morning!

Good luck to you!

, I didn't do anything about a gym. I did put in my personal letter that

I planned to ride my bike and buy a treadmill to get more exercise. I think he

wants to know that we understand that exercise is important for weight loss and

more importantly that it's for the good of our health.
