Guest guest
Dear Lorilynn: Good point. My secondary book to my SCD is Nourishing Traditions which really pushes using foods as vitamins. I am not advocating the diet in Nourishing Traditions. I use it only as resource but anything contrary to SCD I do not use. I'm not sure but I think was saying K2 was necessary for eliminating the calcium crystals and the only way to get it was through healthy bacteria in the stomach and I guess this Japanese Natto that I have been seeing in all the supplements. Maybe will see this email and tell us whether there is a natural source from food for K2. Thank you so much. Eileen Brown
Guest guest
Yes, I do think that K2 is necessary for eliminating the crystals, because K2 activates the bone proteins that can chelate the calcium out of the crystal complex. K2 van be found in chicken egg yolk, butter, cow liver, and natto. However, one of the things I speculate about in my paper is whether kids with autism have a genetic problem with the Vitamin-related enzyme. If so, the enzyme's activity would be weak and a " normal " dose of Vitamin K would be insufficient. That is why I recommend supplementing Vitamin K. _____ From: pecanbread [mailto:pecanbread ] On Behalf Of Eileen Brown Sent: Friday, September 22, 2006 7:49 PM To: pecanbread Subject: Re: Re: Re: OT: Paper on Autism, Vitamin K, and Oxalates Dear Lorilynn: Good point.
