Because if it does I won't even bother getting it if it isn't any better. Deb A

Guest guest
--Tea tree oil (Melaleuka alternafolia) has greater killing power than manuka oil (Leptospermum scoparium). Though, a special concentrate version of manuka called Fraction 1 manuka oil has better than or equal to power or tea tree oil. --Another oil is LeMa oil, which is simply a combination of manuka and tea tree oils, and is only available through Coast Bio in New Zealand http://www.coastbio.co.nz/ It has greater killing power than tea tree oil alone. --Lemon Scented Tea Tree oil (Leptospermum petersonii) is actually from the manuka family, not tea tree family as the name implies. It has a greater killing power than all the others. However, it has a strong lemon scent -- like inhaling lemon Pledge furniture polish. Lemon Scented Tree tea oil shouldn't be confused with just lemon essenstial oil. It is very difficult to find this type of oil in stores. You can order it from http://www.smallflower.com, a Chicago based apothecary. The brand is Auroma, an excellent company. (, I did see your email requesting I pick up some for you, and I promise I will try when things calm on this end.) --Eucalyptus oil (Eucalyptus globulus or another type, Eucalyptus radiata) has lesser killing power than the above but is still very effective. It's aromatic scent clears stuffy noses and chests. However, according to one Chinese doctor, it should not be used in people with CF for longer than three days at a time because it can cause " heat, " a Chinese term for inflammation. When my nose is stuffy, often I just open the bottle and inhale deeply instead of taking the time to put the oil in a steamy bowl of water. Sometimes I add the oil to the bath water to help open stuffy sinuses. The oils you buy should say 100% pure essential oil, and it is always best to buy oils that list the Latin name (as stated above). It is helpful if they list the country of origin too. Your manuka, tea tree, and lemon scented tea tree oils should be from Australian or New Zealand plants. They should be in dark brown or blue glass (NEVER plastic) bottles. --Lavender (Lavendula officialnalis) is another nice oil for inflammation, and it has a pleasant scent, calming, relaxing effect. It's gentle enough for babies, but if you put in bath water, as with all oils avoid getting bath water in the eyes. I have a combination bottle of tea tree/lavender oil that contains organically grown oils. It's made by Desert Essence and was reasonably priced. I like the scent and it's very effective (especially clears up a zit fast!). This combo bottle is in a dark brown glass bottle, however, Desert Essence's " plain " tea tree oils are generally found in clear glass bottles, so I avoid buying it (the dark glass helps protect the oil). Our eucalyptus oil, and 's tea tree oil, is made by Aura Cacia, which is a brand I like and is generally found in most healthfood stores, Whole Foods stores. You can also find this brand very cheaply at http:www.houseofnutrition.com (type essential oil into the search box). Guest guest
Great Post, Kim! Thank you from so many of us! Our thoughts are with you and , and Dorsey and Larry's family at this time. My motther always used to say at Thanksgiving that she was thankful for " all the kids! " which in our case were so many! Highest hopes, and Love in abundance, n Re: Tea Tree oil/DebA > --Tea tree oil (Melaleuka alternafolia) has greater killing power than manuka oil (Leptospermum scoparium). > > Though, a special concentrate version of manuka called Fraction 1 manuka oil has better than or equal to power or tea tree oil. > > --Another oil is LeMa oil, which is simply a combination of manuka and tea tree oils, and is only available through Coast Bio in New > Zealand http://www.coastbio.co.nz/ It has greater killing power than tea tree oil alone. > > --Lemon Scented Tea Tree oil (Leptospermum petersonii) is actually from the manuka family, not tea tree family as the name implies. > It has a greater killing power than all the others. It's scent is not as medicinally strong as plain tea tree, and I've acquired a fondess for it because it works very well for me. I use it because I know it works. When I'm short on time, this is one that I wave under my nose throughout the day, just like eucalyptus. Kim Ok thanks Kim I will order some. We were just at the ENT last week and has 2 polyps growing on her right side. It has been a year since her last polyp surgery. I want to do everything I can to help slow this down and get rid of the pseudomonas in her nose. She is still culturing pseudomonas in her sinuses and I thought that maybe this might be what is causing the polyps to grow. The doctors never told me this but I just wonder if it might have something to do with it. I also think I might try using the glutathione in her nose to see if it will help her with the polyps growing. Nothing else has worked so I figure it can't hurt to try other things.
