Guest guest
Vondie, good gief! I know on line; cannot imagine she would have thought that--this is a loaded issue for so many of us--just a stream of anecdotes--no one should take personal defense; we all have delete tabs! Love to you and your quilting, and your child, n Rojas--realising that can speak for her self-- maybe it is the smoke, but felt that things have been a bit heated up! Re: Re: I need to blow some steam off!!!!!!/SMOKING!!! , I hope you werent talking about the quilt. I do not smoke and no one smokes in my house. My sister sent my boys clothes throught he mail, from Ohio, When I went and picked up the box - the whole box smelled like smoke. Anyway, apparently they smoke in the trucks, wharehouses, etc??? If it was the quilt, the smoke smell was not because of me. Vondie Lastly, I just want to say that someone sent me something in the mail recently and when I got it, it smelled of cigarettes. Now mind you it traveled for a couple of days before it make its way to us and yet it smelled as if the person was standing right in front of me with thier cigarette. Just one more example of the power of second hand smoke.
Guest guest
n, I wasnt taking personal offense to any of it. Just wanted to make sure that knew that I didnt smoke around it. And seriously, my sister did send clothes and the whole box, outside and in, smelled of smoke. To tell the truth, I know how loaded this subject is, very touchy, and I want to make sure I don't get labeled as a smoker. Not because of anything I think, but because of what everyone else would think. I think that from what I am reading back and forth from everyone, I don't want any part of it. Too many feelings involved. And I sure dont want to be on the receiving end of it at all, you know?. I probably cant type it to sound how I am meaning it. WHich is the biggest problem about email.
