You're right, I did misread your post and I'm so sorry that I was so enthusiastic about what was apparently a very dangerous and disappointing procedure. I'm sure you can understand that I was only trying to see the positive when I unfortunately misread your statement. I've had problems with the small print on this webpage when I use Internet Explorer, and normally have to increase the text size to 120% in order to read the posts. This time I hadn't. I realize that's a poor excuse for inaccuracy, but that's what happened. Your experience sounds very frightening, and I'm glad that there was blood available to bring you back. Having needed a transfusion myself during surgery in the past, I was fortunate in that I had donated my own blood months in advance and had it available when I needed it. It's very scary when these things happen, but I guess it is somewhat better now that you have been able to get some function in the duct by stenting.
