Guest guest
Many babies start after 1 year and still get good correction. It depends on the type of band and the ortho. A passive band requires more growth and isn't suitable for an older baby. If you have a slow growing baby that is a bit of a negative, but maybe you can look into another type of helmet. After 5 mo you should have good results, and it might be partly the ortho or type of band (not just slow growth). Where are you and where did you band (which ortho/ type of band)? My daugther wore a starband from 5-10 mo old and had a lot of correction. She was also big and grew fast so it isn't necessarily a very good comparison. However 5 mo is a long time and most babies grow quite a bit in that time. -christine sydney, almost 3 yrs, starband grad > > Hi > > My son has been in his helmet since June 2008 (coming up to 6 months) > and at our last appointment on Thursday we were told that as he > approaches his first birthday we should be prepared that his head isn't > going to change anymore.
