Hi , I am sorry you are not well. I have gone through a lot of

what you have in regards to the medical profession here in Ontario and by

the sounds of it in Canada. Everything seems to take weeks to schedule and

the local gps have no clue as to what pancreatitis is except for what they

have read in a text book twenty years ago. My gp just keeps refering me to

specialists (its been going on so long now, I have been forced to eduacate

myself and this board has been very helpful, I am the one requesting to be

referred to different specialists through my investigations). I would

suggest finding the best Drs you can, how about Winnipeg?, from experience

dont count to heavily on Toronto to answer all your prayers. If I had to do

the last three years over again I would re-mortgage my house and head to the

states. I hate to say that being a proud Canadian but fact is fact. Good

luck, I am sure Manitoba is very exotic in late May.

Sorry to upset you, I can only speak from experience.

Re: Jen

I cant say that I am happy about hearing a fellow Canadian speak so badly

about our medical system . You just havent been to the right doctor or else

havent accepted the fact that this disease is here to stay and the secret is

learning to live with it the best you can. I am appalled.

Dear Steve We will agree to disagree on the subject of Canadian health care

..What if anything is Dr. Davies doing for you? Any surgeries planned? You

should phone me and we could discuss our care. If you wish to do this let me

know and

I will email you privately with my number. from Canada

I am so sorry that you have had such a difficult time. I can

understand how frustrating it is waiting on a doc to tell you

somthing that is going to change your life and then he doesn't. He

doesn't help at all. I know how you feel. Sugar you need a new doc

and toot sweet.

I would think, just guessing, that the best thing you could do is go

to the best endsocopist in the US. In my opinion, for what thats

worth, I would recommend Dr. Lehman (sp) in Indiana somewhere. I

is one of the best in the country by many professional standards.

I hear he's nice too. A lot of people on this board have seen him

and I am sure they could tell you all you need to know. He is not a

surgeon, he is an endoscopist. He will find out what is wrong with

your panc when no body else could.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Chrissy
