Guest guest
Dear Connie, you are one smart cookie....its the best to know about your diseases and what can happen. Most of us would just go and let the " chips fall where they may.: Including me.. I'm going to call my pcp on Monday and " demand " antibiotic therapy. I know its what I need! Take care of you....Love, Sue M
Guest guest
Connie, I'm sorry to hear that you started coughing and they had to put you under, but I'm really happy to hear how everything else went! It sounds like your recovery is going well, just don't overdue and push too hard. It's great to hear from you, take care! M
Guest guest
Dear Sue :-) Hey, Cookie :-) I think you're pretty smart just by being a member of this group! Just think how we can all empower each other and share information and ideas.....the internet has had a powerful impact on medicine and we are it's driving force :-) We've all had our share of letting those chips fall where they may, but it's time to partner with our doctors, instead of always being so obedient. I know you've mentioned in the past that when you've had antibiotics (including IV antibiotics) you have seen improvements. If you can't get your PCP's cooperation (and they are often the most willing to go with the antibiotic protocol) .....keep trying. There are more and more doctors out there who have seen its merit. Sometimes, the doctors need to hear the words that you " refuse " to take whatever meds that they might offer and that gives them some sort of legal grounds to prescribe something that is not exactly in the mainstream. (keep in mind that the antibiotic treatment might be considered " off-label " but there are studies backing it up.....it's just a matter of whether or not the doctor is willing to read the studies) Also keep in mind that Minocin (name brand, non-generic if you can get it) may not be the only antibiotic that you might need. Often times people require a combination...like Minocin on three days of the week and either Biaxin or Zithromax on some of the other days per week....it varies a lot. Take care, Sue. Guest guest
Hi :-) Thanks for your good wishes and I will try to remember to take it easy...so many people have warned me LOL ....there must be a reason. I've lost track, are you the that recently moved to Los Angeles? ...and were considering seeing Dr. Franco and his partner Dr. Lallande? I hope all is well with you, Connie H > Connie, > I'm sorry to hear that you started coughing and they had to put you > under, but I'm really happy to hear how everything else went! Guest guest
Hi Connie, No, I live in Seattle, have been online with the group since December. I see Dr Buckner. I usually sign my name with my last initial to decrease the confusion between the other and myself. M
